Francis Kurkdjian was born to French-Armenian parents in 1969 and is one of the world's most innovative, individual, and original perfumers. "No style is my style" is his watchword: his first great commercial success was the creation of Le Male for Jean-Paul Gaultier in 1995, followed by another 50 fragrances for houses such as Elizabeth Arden, Armani, Acqua di Parma, Guerlain, Dior and Lanvin, receiving the Francois Coty award for achievement at the early age of 30. For the Chateau de Versailles he recreated the perfume of Queen Marie Antoinette. In 2001 he opened his own bespoke perfume atelier; and founded Maison Francis Kurkdjian in 2009. Taking a holistic approach to perfume as a sum of all the arts, Kurkdjian is a demanding and eclectic perfectionist who accepts no boundaries or limits to his art. The incredible Aqua Universalis is newly available in two body products, a Shower Cream, and a Body Cream.
