Inspiration

Created in 1936 and originally available only in the USA. French Can-Can is a long lasting floral chypre – based on the accord of ambergris, patchouli and vetiver. The sweet flowery top notes consist of violets, lilac, iris and rose. One of the richest, most tenacious and most evocative of all the Caron fragrances, now sold for the first time in the United Kingdom as an Eau de Parfum.

The Notes

TOP: Jasmine, lilac, violet, lily-of-the-valley.
HEART: May rose, orange blossom, iris.

In 1904, Ernest Daltroff established Caron in the world of High Perfumery, opening its doors at 10 rue de la Paix, Paris.

Ernest’s love for his colleague Félicie was a constant and significant influence in his creations. Together, they created powerful concept fragrances such as “N’aimez que moi” in 1916, “Tabac Blond” in 1919, “Fleurs de Rocaille” in 1933 as well as the legendary “Pour Un Homme” in 1934. Behind the creation of every fragrance lies a fascinating story and their symbolic names often evoke particular events within the world of luxury.
