Inspiration

The House of Caron has always been fascinated by the scent and the mystique of the rose, one of the most ancient flowers on our planet. The rose’s complex fragrance comprises hundreds of molecules which enables it to be interpreted by the perfumer in countless moods and styles.

Rose first appeared in 1949 as a pendant perfume to Or et Noir. It is a greener, crisper, more innocent fragrance than its more sophisticated sister - but no less enchanting.

Caron

In 1904, Ernest Daltroff established Caron in the world of High Perfumery, opening its doors at 10 rue de la Paix, Paris.

Ernest’s love for his colleague Félicie was a constant and significant influence in his creations. Together, they created powerful concept fragrances such as “N’aimez que moi” in 1916, “Tabac Blond” in 1919, “Fleurs de Rocaille” in 1933 as well as the legendary “Pour Un Homme” in 1934. Behind the creation of every fragrance lies a fascinating story and their symbolic names often evoke particular events within the world of luxury.
