At the origin of many leather-based fragrances for the Memo brand, Mohamed Rebatchi could only entrust Aliénor Massenet with the creation of "Cuir Tassili”, adding this note to his collection of raw materials.
“To pay tribute to the origins of Mohamed Rebatchi, I drew inspiration from my journey through the Tassili desert in south-east Algeria, the traditional region of the Tuareg Ajjer or Tuareg people of the West, and the olfactory sensations I experienced waking up in the morning after a night sleeping in a tent. I could smell the tea brewing and sherbet, Algerian lemonade, as well as the leather of the camels’ saddles. A true invitation to travel.” - Aliénor Massenet

This is the story of a perfume House that could have begun, like so many others, with « once upon a time there was a perfumer or the son of a perfumer… ».
However, this was not at all the case. Maison Rebatchi Paris is the fruit of a life-long dream. That of Mohamed Rebatchi, a young Franco-Algerian who grew up in a working-class suburb north of Paris.
Drawing from his encounters with some of the greatest perfumers of his time, Maison Rebatchi Paris offers a free rein collection around emblematic raw materials. With each new fragrance, an invisible link naturally unfolded between the multicultural origins of Mohamed Rebatchi, a bridge between Orient and Occident.
