HEAVEN CAN WAIT is Jean-Claude Ellena’s sensual journey in warm spice. Clove, pimento, ambrette and carrot seed are joined by the sophisticated beauty of iris. Vetiver brings structure and vibrancy; facets of peach and prune, roundness. Inspired in part by the intimacy of private worlds, the result is a modern rendering of a Parisian classic: understated, discreet and noble–an eternal seduction, simultaneously exotic and comforting. The result is something we now appreciate more than ever: a private heaven. Born into a family of perfumers from Grasse, Jean-Claude Ellena was introduced to the art of developing fragrances as a teenager. Self-taught, he defines his creations as a “poetry of memory.” Everyday smells–wax floors, clean sheets, skin, an old sweater–are some of his great inspirations. His signature is simple, minimalist and modern.
