Salome
Top Notes: Bitter Orange, Bergamot
Heart Notes: Rose, Orange Blossom, Tobacco, Carnation, Jasmine, Hyrax
Base Notes: Styrax, Vanilla, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Hay, Birch, Cumin, Castoreum
Inspiration
Inspired by an erotic photographic postcard of the 1920's, Salome is an extravaganza of exotic oils which come together in a rich disturbing evocation of the world, the flesh and the devil.
Dark and animalic, warm and passionate, Salome is sexually frank and emotionally explosive. Turkish rose, jasmine and oakmoss are a prelude to disturbing and liberally used notes of castoreum and hyraceum, styrax and tobacco. Powdery hypnotic orange blossom, patchouli and sweet hay mingle with cumin, bitter orange and bergamot in a frenzy of whirling accords culminating in the revelation of the Seventh Veil and Salome's most intimate secret.
